Meet Nikki – Long-Standing Volunteer & Community Champion

Nikki has been with Seasoned & Saiged from the very beginning, joining us back in November 2024, and she has been a pillar of our community work ever since. From day one, Nikki stepped straight into the heart of our mission — supporting our soup kitchen, helping families, and making sure no one in our community goes without.

One of Nikki’s biggest contributions has been her commitment to our Tesco Woolwich collections, where she consistently turns up, collects surplus food with care, and ensures it reaches the people who need it most. Her reliability, warmth, and genuine love for helping others have made her an incredible asset to our team.

Nikki’s involvement with the Woolwich collections has also played a major role in strengthening our Thursday Soup Kitchen service. Thanks to the surplus food she brings in each week, we have been able to expand our menu, feed more families, and keep the service running smoothly and consistently.

Over the months, we’ve had the privilege of watching Nikki grow from strength to strength. Each week and each month, she has become more confident in the kitchen — from helping prepare meals to eventually stepping up and opening our soup kitchen herself. Her passion, skill, and commitment have grown every single day, and it’s been inspiring to witness her journey.

Beyond her work with us, Nikki also volunteers with other charities, always finding time to give back. Her generous spirit, kindness, and passion for community support shine through in everything she does.

We are truly grateful for Nikki’s dedication, loyalty, and the heart she brings to our mission. She remains a key part of our journey, always ready to help, step in, and uplift those around her. Seasoned & Saiged simply wouldn’t be the same without her.

Thank you, Nikki — you are appreciated more than you know.

Meet Charlie – Community Operations Manager (Turpington Lane)

Charlie joined Seasoned & Saiged just four months ago, and in that short time she has become one of the most dedicated, dependable, and community-driven members of our team. From her very first day, Charlie stepped straight into the work with purpose and passion — supporting families, helping with collections, and bringing warmth to everyone she encountered.

Her rapid growth, natural leadership, and commitment to our mission led to her well-deserved promotion to Community Operations Manager for our Turpington Lane site, a role she has embraced with confidence, compassion, and a genuine heart for people.

Charlie describes herself as:

“A dedicated community worker who plays a vital role in supporting local families through Seasoned & Saige — a charity that collects and distributes food to people in need. Passionate about giving back, I am also actively involved in the local community centre, where I help create a welcoming, supportive environment
